#26 A Honeymoon Journey Through LA and Vegas

Packing for our long-awaited honeymoon to LA and Vegas was no small feat, but the excitement of finally embarking on this journey overshadowed any pre-trip wardrobe dilemmas. After a series of family visits, we decided it was high time to revel in the joy of our honeymoon. With high expectations and hearts full of anticipation, we began our adventure, exploring the captivating beaches of Los Angeles, California. Laguna Beach, nestled amidst stunning landscapes, offered a serene escape. Despite the renowned 1000 steps leading to its shores, the beach's cleanliness and maintenance impressed. As someone with a slight height phobia, the climb back tested my nerves, but the breathtaking views were worth the temporary anxiety.

Venice Beach emerged as a vibrant mosaic of entertainment and diversity. The boardwalk was a lively spectacle featuring performers, bodybuilders, jugglers, and artists, creating an ever-changing, eclectic atmosphere. After soaking in the lively energy, the sandy beach and scenic shoreline provided a perfect backdrop for relaxation. A visit to Abbott Kinney Boulevard's unique restaurants added culinary delights to the Venice Beach experience. Surfrider Beach in Malibu, one of the most surfed beaches in Los Angeles County, offered a cool surfing atmosphere even for non-surfers like us. Spectating the surfers and exploring the adjacent lagoon and bird sanctuary provided a unique beach day experience. The quarter-mile walking trail allowed us to appreciate the beauty of this popular beach.

Santa Monica State Beach, the most visited in Los Angeles, welcomed us with its two-mile stretch of golden sands. The beach offered ample space for various activities, from sunbathing to biking and roller-blading. As we strolled along the historic Santa Monica Pier, surrounded by beach houses under the enchanting sunset, a feeling of contentment and happiness embraced us. Our honeymoon, enriched by the sun-kissed beaches of Los Angeles, became a celebration of simplicity and joy. From conquering height fears to relishing the eclectic vibes of Venice Beach, every moment contributed to the tapestry of our memories. As we gazed at the horizon during the sunset, dreams of a shared future unfolded. In the spirit of the famous song, we embraced the journey, dreaming a little dream and cherishing the beauty of life's simple pleasures.
