ABOUT
The Journey Behind Fashionista Era
Hi! Im Hanz and the creative mind behind Fashionista Era which is more than just a blog for me; it is a living, breathing part of who I am. I’m the writer and editor behind it, and the purpose of creating this blog is multifaceted. In many ways, it's like an online diary, a space where I pour my thoughts, passions, and personality. From fashion to spirituality, I want to offer my readers a little glimpse of who I am and how I view the world. This blog is more than just an aesthetic journey; it’s about the connection I build with people. Every post, every comment, and every interaction brings me closer to my readers. To me, that personal touch is everything.
One of the tools I use to stay inspired and keep up with other blogs is Bloglovin’. It’s an amazing platform that allows me to track all my favorite blogs. It feels like flipping through a magazine, discovering new writers, photographers, and creatives.
It is important for me to respond to everyone who comments on my blog. A lot of bloggers or influencers may seem unapproachable or distant, but that’s not the experience I want to create. For me, the most valuable part of blogging is engaging with my readers and hearing their thoughts. That’s how I build my content. You all motivate me to continue creating and sharing. It’s like we’re on this journey together.
I even had the opportunity to participate in interviews with other blogs. It’s a beautiful way to reflect on what I’ve built and to share my thoughts on fashion, beauty, and life in general. One of the interviews that stood out was when I was asked about how I came up with the name "Fashionista Era." Here are some FAQs about my fashion site. Here goes..
How did you come around with the name 'Fashionista Era'? What do
you like about blogging?
Coming up with a name for my blog was a challenging yet exciting process. I spent a lot of time thinking about what would resonate with me long-term. Fashion is a big part of my life, and it's not just about clothing—it's about how you present yourself to the world. Our era is so fashion-conscious, and that’s what drew me to the term ‘Fashionista.’ I wanted my blog to reflect that modern sensibility, but also offer a space for introspection and spiritual growth. That's where the word "Era" comes in—this blog represents the era of my life, my journey, and my personal evolution.
While I discuss fashion at length, I also cover spirituality, which is a central part of my life. The ‘Soul’ category on my blog is dedicated to that. I want readers to know that beauty is not just about what we wear but also about how we feel inside. Our inner world impacts the way we interact with the outer world, and my blog seeks to explore that balance. It’s about being true to yourself and taking pride in both your appearance and your soul.
What does Fashion mean to you?
Fashion, to me, is about individuality. It’s about having your own unique style and not rushing to imitate someone else’s. In the past, I was guilty of trying to follow trends and celebrity styles, hoping that they would work for me. But that’s when I realized that fashion is not about blindly following what’s popular. Instead, it’s about discovering what makes you feel confident and comfortable.
I used to get caught up in trying to wear what everyone else was wearing, but I quickly learned that just because a certain style is in vogue doesn’t mean it will suit you. The biggest lesson I learned was to be original. To trust your instincts and not compare yourself to others. The more you try to imitate, the more you will lose your sense of self, and the less happy you’ll feel with your choices.
Now tell us a little about you. Where did you grow up?
I grew up in several places, and I’m truly grateful for those experiences. I was born and raised in Dubai and Bahrain, two vibrant places that are a melting pot of cultures. Living in these cities exposed me to a diversity of people, customs, and traditions, which shaped my perspective. From there, I moved to India and had the chance to live in the U.S. for a while. Now, I live in Europe, and I am enjoying every minute of it.
All the traveling I’ve done has been a gift. Not everyone gets the chance to experience life in so many different countries, and I truly value that. Every place I’ve lived in and every person I’ve met along the way has contributed to my growth. The lessons learned in each country, from their culture to their way of life, have given me a wealth of knowledge that I continue to carry with me.
Which is your favorite holiday destination?
Choosing a favorite destination is no easy feat. I’ve had the privilege of visiting some amazing places, and each one has its own charm. However, there are a few places that stand out to me. LA and New York are two cities that hold a special place in my heart. There’s something so magnetic about their energy, the combination of creativity, ambition, and diversity.
Europe, too, has its own magic. I am enjoying my time here immensely, especially places like Riga in Latvia. It’s a beautiful city that has so much history and culture to offer. Looking ahead, I’m excited to explore Paris and Switzerland. Both of these places have always been on my travel bucket list, and I can’t wait to experience them in person.
What was the happiest moment of your life? The saddest?
I’m not someone who follows celebrity culture religiously, but there are a few figures I admire deeply for their values, not just their fame. Robert Pattinson is one of them. I adore his humility and down-to-earth nature. It’s easy to get caught up in the superficiality of fame, but Robert seems to have stayed grounded and true to himself.
Another celebrity I admire is Ian Somerhalder. His passion for environmental conservation is something I deeply respect. He uses his platform to bring awareness to important causes, and that’s something I find incredibly inspiring. In the same vein, I have a lot of admiration for Angelina Jolie and Charlize Theron for their philanthropic efforts.
From Bollywood, Aishwarya Rai and Deepika Padukone are two actresses whose style and grace I admire. And let’s not forget Hrithik Roshan—he’s a talented actor and a fitness icon.

Who is the most important person in your life? Can you tell me
about him or her?
The most important person in my life is my husband. He is my rock, my support system, and my biggest cheerleader. He has been with me through thick and thin, and I cannot imagine my life without him. He has encouraged me to pursue my dreams, even when I doubted myself. He has been instrumental in motivating me to write a book, something I never thought I could achieve with my busy lifestyle.
Who has been the biggest influence in your life? What lessons
did that person teach you?
My parents have been the biggest influence on me. They have taught me the importance of kindness, integrity, and resilience. They also gave me the freedom to explore my own path. Many people around me weren’t as fortunate, and I realize now just how much that freedom shaped me into the person I am today. Their wisdom and guidance have been a constant source of support.

Who has been the kindest to you in your life?
I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have loyal, supportive friends by my side for over 15 years. They’ve seen me through the ups and downs, and their kindness has been a source of comfort and strength. Even on days when I feel down, they are always there to cheer me up, whether it’s through a simple hangout or a heartfelt conversation..
What are the most important lessons you’ve learned in life?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is the power of letting go of negative energy. Life is too short to hold onto grudges or allow negativity to cloud your mind. I’ve learned to either be kind or stay neutral when faced with negativity. Holding onto anger or resentment only weighs you down. Letting go of that energy opens space for positivity and growth..

How have you developed
your style?
My style has evolved over the years, and it’s a reflection of my journey. It’s about feeling comfortable in my own skin and not worrying about the opinions of others. I’ve learned that when I like what I’m wearing, I automatically feel more confident and put-together. It’s not about following trends or copying someone else’s look. It’s about embracing what feels right for me.
Do you prefer designer, vintage or high-street?
I love mixing and matching different styles. While I enjoy high-end designer pieces, I also appreciate the charm of vintage and the practicality of high-street fashion. There’s something about combining the best of all worlds that makes fashion so much fun.

What is the one essential item in your wardrobe you couldn't
live without?
Hands down, my handbags are the one item I cannot live without. They’re not just functional; they are stylish and versatile. I have a few designer bags for special occasions, but I also love finding regular bags that suit my needs and make me feel fashionable. J
Any last words?
To anyone reading this, I want to leave you with this: be kind, give back, and always try to make someone smile. Life is too short for negativity. Help others whenever you can, spread joy, and take the time to care for those around you. You never know what someone else is going through, so kindness is always the best approach.
